Join the VCBA for our fourth annual outing to watch the Oakland A’s! This year, we’ll be going to the game on Saturday, June 17, vs. the New York Yankees. The game is scheduled to start at 1:05pm but, per MLB’s rules, the time is subject to change. We’ll meet on the Coliseum side of the BART walkway as early as 12:00pm (assuming the game does actually start at 1:05pm). Otherwise, if MLB does change the start time, we’ll meet one hour before first pitch. Tickets are limited, regsiter today!

Women currently occupy just 25 percent of the technology industry, but that number is on the rise. More and more Seven Sisters graduates are entering the sector in a myriad of roles. From software engineers to talent management to sales, Seven Sisters alumnae/i are taking the tech industry by storm. Please join fellow Bay Area Seven Sisters alumnae/i for an evening featuring a panel of women working in technology-based fields, followed by a networking reception. Learn about a variety of tech careers and the paths these women took to get there. This event is open to all alumnae/i and guests, whether currently in the technology industry or interested in exploring these fields. The event will be moderated by Christine Valenza Shin ’84, Barnard Alumnae Career Counselor. Please join the Vassar Club of the Bay Area for a wine tasting class led by Alexandria Dempsey ’09! At Barlago Italian Kitchen in Oakland, we’ll enjoy house-made pizzas, bruschetta, and more as we gather, and then Alexandria will lead us through a tasting of five wines. This casual, introductory class is all about enjoying wine even more than you already do. Alexandria is a Certified Specialist of Wine and has passed the first level of the Court of Master Sommeliers. She recently completed an MBA in food and wine at the University of Bologna in Italy, and teaches wine classes in her free time to share the joy of wine with others. Barlago is a short walk along Lake Merritt from the 19th Street BART stop. There is ample parking available in the neighborhood, including parking lots and metered street parking. Empower yourself with the wine knowledge you’ve always wanted in a fun, social setting with fellow Vassar alums!

Join the Vassar Club of the Bay Area for an afternoon at the California Academy of Sciences! Friends and family are welcome. Tickets are limited and are being offered at a discount; purchase and RSVP are required. Purchase tickets via the Vassar Alum Hub Page (link below). Street parking is available and so is underground parking. To access underground parking, enter the garage at the intersection of Fulton Street & 10th Avenue. Also, there are several buses (e.g. the 5, 31, 38, etc.) that stop near the academy.
